Thurston County's First Multi-Disciplinary Collective Serving Our Community Of Families & Providers Across Thurston County and Beyond

Welcome To Sound Youth Neurodiversity Collective!

We are a culmination of neurodivergent providers, allies, and/or neurodivergent parents raising twice exceptional children. Each lived experience within our collective has allowed us to cultivate a deeper understanding of what affirming care truly entails. Integrity, resilience, authenticity, and prioritizing care over profit is central to our core values

Our Services

At SYNC, we believe that success comes after strong relationships are built. This is through trust and honoring personal interests and needs. When we reframe our understanding of what is "typical" and what is not, we can truly begin to accept individual differences. We foster approaches that allows a child to come as they are and be as they are. Here at SYNC we strive to provide services that promote positive mental health and overall well being.

Neuropsychological

Evaluations

We offer a wide range of assessments and interventions to help children and adolescents with various cognitive, behavioral, and emotional challenges. Services include: comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations, psychoeducational assessments, ADHD and ASD evaluations, and gender/ neurodiversity evaluations. Our  neuropsychologist offers compassionate and   personalized care to meet the unique needs of each child family. 

Speech-Language Therapy

Our neurodiversity-affirming speech-language pathologists offer a wide range of communication and feeding services including: articulation, phonology, language, fluency, literacy, social language, feeding therapy, executive function, cognitive-communication therapy, AAC training, and parent/caregiver training.

Occupational Therapy

 

OTs support participation in important activities of daily living and life contexts. They are trained in human development--motor, vision, sensory, cognitive and executive functioning, neuroscience, and emotional and self-regulation skills. Our OTs provide individualized services plans in a play-based format while offering caregiver coaching.

Marriage & Family Counseling

Marriage and family therapists in our collective can work with clients, couples, or families. Our marriage and family therapists are influenced by Internal Family Systems (IFS), and offer parenting groups and parent coaching. Our marriage and family therapists have lived experience supporting neurodivergent individuals so that parents and families can feel empowered, understood, and supported in their parenting journey.

Mental Health Counseling

Individualized Mental Health Counseling The neurodiversity community has unique mental health needs. Our mental health providers offer individualized support to children, teenagers, and adults with specific understanding of neurodiversity, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ concerns. Approaches may include Multicultural, Social Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), or creative hands-on approaches (art or play therapy).
